After gathering all the information I wrote an article which I am going to use for my final magazine design:
Every year, the clothing industry kills around 30 million animals in the name of fashion. Approximately 35 animals are slaughtered and skinned to make a single fur coat. An immeasurable amount of suffering goes into every fur coat, leather belt, and wool sweater regardless of orgin: From Chinese fur farms to Indian Slaughterhouses.
Animals on fur farms spend their entire lives confined to cramped, filthy wire cages. They look like products with a barcode and a number, their execution date is settled on the day they are born. Fur farmers use the cheapest and cruelest killing methods available such us suffocation,
electrocution, gas, and poison.
What can you do to help?
Every single real fur, leather and wool product represents the intense pain and suffering of animals, and their purchase fuels the continuation of these appalling practices. There is a way to end this cruelty and stay warm and look fashionable: cruelty - free fabrics and faux fur coats are available for purchase in stores everywhere. This cruelty will end only when the public refuses to buy or wear real fur. People have the power to stop the fur trade.
